How We Use Your Data

All receipt scanning to identify duplicate charges happens locally on your device. The app does not transmit your data to any third-party servers.

iCloud Sync & Data Storage

To provide a seamless experience across your devices (such as syncing your saved receipts and identified duplicate charges between your iPhone and Mac), Dupe Detective utilizes Apple's iCloud (CloudKit). Your data is securely stored in your Private iCloud Database. Because of this architecture, we (the developers) have absolutely zero access to your receipts, grocery lists, or any personal data. We cannot read, store on our own servers, or share this data with third parties.

Your Rights

You can delete all scanned data by uninstalling the app. You can revoke camera permission anytime in your device Settings → Dupe Detective.
